According to the latest information from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first half of March 2017, the leading industries in the field of export were still as follows: phones; textile and computers. Notably, in the first half of March 2017, there were 3 commodity groups with an export turnover of more than $US 1 billion as follows: phones and components; textiles; computers, electronic products and accessories.

The 1st rank in export turnover included phones and components with an export turnover of $US 1.304 billion (accumulation from the beginning of the year to 15th March 2017 reached $US 5.987 billion). Thus, on average (including holidays, holidays), phones and components exports reached $US 133 million ($US 5.987 billion for 45 days).

By the middle of March 2017, in addition to phones and components, Vietnam had 7 export commodity groups worth $US 1 billion or more. In particular, there were agricultural products such as wood and wooden products with an export turnover of $US 1.391 billion (wooden products reached $US 1.011 billion); and fisheries with an export turnover of $US 1.179 billion.

Based on the data of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the trade balance of Vietnam in the first half of March 2017 continued a deficit of nearly $US 1 billion. Accordingly, Vietnam exports reached $US 7.811 billion and imports reached $US 8.793. By the middle of March 2017, Vietnam's trade deficit reached more than $US 1.8 billion (exports reached $US 35.224 billion and imports reached $US 37.032 billion).
