The US, China, Japan and the Republic of Korea were the four biggest importers of Vietnam products, each with a value of more than US$10 billion in 2016
Exports to the four markets accounted for nearly 49% of Vietnam’s total export revenue.According to the latest statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the US was the biggest consumer of Vietnam products with an import value of US$34.839 billion in the first 11 months of 2016, followed by China (US$19.604 billion), Japan (US$13.274 billion) and the ROK (US$10.412 billion).
The ROK obtained the highest growth of 27.34%, trailed by China (up 26.68%), the US (up 14.58%) and Japan (3.1%).
Eight export products to the US fetched a value of more than US$1 billion each including garment (US$10.33 billion), footwear (more than US$4 billion) and telephones and components (US$3.954 billion).
Meanwhile, six products exported to China, three products to Japan and three to the ROK had a value of over US$1 billion each.
