Vietnam’s exports reached US$24.6 million, which sent its trade surplus soaring to US$13.8 million.

Vietnam exported 11 categories of products, with mobile phones and parts topping the list with a value of nearly US$16 million, 76 percent higher than the same period last year.

Plastic products ranked second, following a five-fold increase, to US$512,800. Pepper, cashews, tea, rubber products, and iron and steel were the other major items.
