In his speech, President Duda highlighted the close-knit ties over the seven decades and fine sentiments between the two nations as the groundwork for furthering bilateral cooperation in perse fields, particularly in economics.

Vietnam is one of the most dynamic economies in ASEAN, as well as in Asia. With a stable and high economic growth over recent years, the country has taken on a prestigious role and position in the global economy. It has been selected as one of Poland’s five most promising investment and business markets for the future.

Through the forum, Poland encourages businesses from the two countries to share information and opportunities to establish long-term partnerships, said Mr Duda.

Vietnam’s Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan said Poland is an important partner of Vietnam in the EU with trade and investment achieving considerable progress in recent years.

Polish investment in Vietnam is on an upward trend with value tripling for 2014- 2017.However the outcome has not matched up with the perceived potential and strengths of both sides, Tuan noted.

Poland is the 6th biggest economy in Europe, while Vietnam's investment climate quality, consumer market, and human resources are seen as its fields of strengths. The two countries have signed a series of agreements and memoranda of understanding, paving the way for broader cooperation in future.

Therefore, the Vietnamese Government hopes that the local business community will make the best of this event to fully grasp market information and potential investment opportunities in areas where Vietnam holds advantages such as electronic components, information technology, and farm produce.

It called on Polish businesses to increase investments in Vietnam for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, said Mr Tuan.

On the same day, Polish President Duda and his wife visited the War Remnants Museum in District 3. Earlier on November 29, they attended a classical concert at the HCM City Conservatory of Music.
